AI advisory for small business: what it should look like

Good AI advisory for a small business is short, priced up front, and ends in decisions: which uses of AI will pay, which are risky, and what rules your team needs. If it arrives attached to a software quote, it is sales, not advice.

Most of what is sold as AI advice to smaller companies comes from someone with a product to place. The consultancy has an implementation team to feed. The reseller has margin riding on the answer. That does not make the advice worthless, but it means nobody in the room is paid to say "skip it."
